IMPLIED TERMS.
Initially, at common-law the principle of caveat emptor (buyers beware) applied. As time and commercial transactions evolved, certain terms became necessary. Section 12-15 of the act implies certain conditions and warranties to a contract for the sale of goods to protect gullible buyers.
