NEWS UPDATE: EMPIRE TEAM PREVENTS SALE OF LAND SUBJECT TO LITIGATION (COURT CASE) IN IDI-IROGBO, IBEJU LEKKI, LAGOS.
Brief and Straight to the point:
We conducted a diligence for a client desirous of purchasing some plots of land around Idi-Irogbo.
The survey and search at the Lagos State Lands Registry showed that everything was fine and the documents were verified.
However, upon further search, we were able to discover that the property in question was subject to a Court Case (suit) between the Lagos State Government and the sellers (Suit Number. EPD/10614LMW/2021 covering more than 80 Hectares).
Meanwhile plots of land were still being sold in that area to unsuspecting buyers.
We informed the client that (although the Seller is challenging the Government) the outcome of the case could swing either way so it is better to find another land that is not subject to a dispute.
